A public body supporting the arts, the Canada Council for the Arts has the mandate to “foster and promote the study and dissemination of the arts as well as the production of works of art”.
The Council invests in the imagination and celebrates the success of those who create outstanding works, which forge our cultural identity and make it shine.
The Council relies on its knowledge of the milieus, its spirit of innovation and its ability to bring together the artistic community and municipal and economic partners to be in tune with the needs of the organizations and groups of Montreal artists that it serves.
