New video by La Fabrique Culturelle!

“Africa in the Circus is the dream of a man determined to transmit African culture through the circus. With this project, Yamoussa Bangoura bridges the gap between Quebec and Guinea, but especially between humans. What better way to celebrate Black History Month! Arriving in Quebec at the age of 17, acrobat, dancer and musician, Yamoussa Bangoura traveled the world with great circuses before founding Productions Kalabanté. Combining the circus arts with traditional African arts, Kalabanté helps and encourages marginalized young people in Guinea by building and operating a circus school, financed with the profits from the shows. The show Afrique en cirque, co-produced with Les Productions Nuits d’Afrique and Revel, is one of the many celebrations of the 2018 edition of Black History Month. "
